CarMax, the nation's largest retailer of used cars, opened its first store on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Gulfport. The store is located near Highway 605 at Interstate 10 and includes a new 7,500 square foot sales and service building, a 64,000 square foot vehicle sales area, and 1,200 feet of new public roadway with water, sewer, sidewalks, lighting, and landscaping. The project was completed as part of a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) agreement with the City of Gulfport and Harrison County.
BMA was retained by CarMax to provide due diligence and site investigation services, including a land title survey, topographic survey, aerial photography, site checklist and reports, site entitlement and development permitting, engineering design services, construction engineering services, and a final as-built ALTA/ASCM land title survey.
