The City of Pascagoula had the need to increase traffic efficiency and decrease the potential for flooding along Hospital Road to accommodate population growth. This project involved improvements to Hospital Road from Denny Road (Hwy 90) to Old Mobile Highway (approximately 1800 feet). The project includes a bridge replacement and coordination with CSX railroad to add a water main that will cross under the CSX railroad.
Brown, Mitchell & Alexander, Inc. (BMA) was selected to provide professional engineering services, including design of water, sewer and gas utility improvements, environmental permitting, hydraulic analysis, and surveying for the Hospital Road Improvements Project.
BMA is meeting Pascagoula’s objectives in designing the project utilizing “Complete Streets” concepts, which include services for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists. Construction costs for all phases are estimated at approximately $4 Million (MDOT/LPA funding)
